Artist Jarnail Singh’s Painting wins another Award

Well-known artist Jarnail Singh has won another award for his breathtaking art. His painting showing image of harness racing titled “Romance of the Race” won $500 prize in a juried art show organized at Fraser Downs Race Track and Casino. Jarnail Singh ‘s powerful work captured the thrill, action and movement of the horse and rider beautifully.

The annual art exhibition jointly organized by Arts Council of Surrey and Fraser Downs Race Track and Casino has been a regular event since 1994.

Well known for his paintings of Sikh history and Punjabi rural life, Jarnail Singh has won numerous awards for his art. He also designed the banner celebrating the 10th birthday of the city of Surrey. He recently finished a huge mural (16 x18 feet) depicting the story of Komagata Maru, commissioned by PICS outside their senior housing unit known as Guru Nanak Niwas.
